Terri-Ann is a Singer/ Songwriter from sunny Scarborough, North Yorkshire. 2014 was been a big year for this young entrepreneur, setting up her own business, performing to crowds of thousands and releasing her debut EP entitled ‘Intricate’. The 4 tracks record is her first big release and she is donating the proceeds to Breast Cancer Research by selling physical copies at her gigs. So far she has raised over £700.
Her new EP ‘Straight Forward’ was released in July 2015 and the launch party was a complete success. This year has presented itself with some fantastic opportunities for Terri-Ann including a recent endorsed Artist deal from Cassidy Guitars and a slot performing at Camp Bestival where 30,000 music lovers gathers to watch the likes of Ella Eyre, Ella Henderson, Kaiser Chefs and loads more.

A performer through to her core Terri-Ann has been singing, dancing and acting her whole life beginning training at Anne Taylor’s School of Dance, Scarborough. After acquiring a BA Honours degree in Performance and obtaining professional theatre training with USA Based Theatre company; The Gravity Project, Terri-Ann began her colorful career performing in theatres across Yorkshire, including Musicals and scripts by the likes of Sir Alan Ayckbourn. Terri-Ann has also worked for Merlin Entertainments, acting at The York Dungeons, being various incredibly gruesome characters that give you the fright of your life!!! Described as The York Press as “Definitely one to watch” she obtained a place on a MA course at London’s prestigious E15 in 2011, but decided at this point that it was music she had to stand by. “Singing has always been my personal thing, the thing that made me feel like I can really do anything.”

Terri-Ann began working hard developing herself as an artist, creating a positive following on her YouTube channel of her infamous ‘Cover Wednesdays’ releasing live covers and demo’s of her original material. She released her debut single ‘Mask of Sanity’ in 2011 and following this her track ‘Smile Again’ was released early in 2012. Talented producer, Ollie Green who has worked with artists such as Lady Gaga and Josh Devine, produced both of these singles. The tracks caught the attention of BBC Introducing and she performed live on BBC Radio York.

More recently Terri-Ann has been supported by The Prince’s Trust to help her get her music heard and her material promoted and she has performed at some prestigious events at impressive venues such as The Beverly Minster, Leeds grand Theatre and Harewood House.

She is now performing her own shows all over Yorkshire within care homes, weddings, corporate events, festivals and has written songs which have been used commercially, including the song ‘This is Your Future’ for Futureworks Yorkshire.

Playing to her biggest crowd yet on at Staxtonbury Festival last year, Terri-Ann felt right at home.

Singing songs from her new EP Intricate, she sold out of copies after the gig. The 4 track EP has been described as “Dazzling” by Yorkshire Coast Radio and “Beautifully Lyrically Honest.”

“Music has been a great source of strength for me growing up and I wanted to input that into the Intricate EP. Music is a universal language that conveys emotion everyone can understand, I love it so much and I want to share my version with the world.”

Every year is a new journey for Terri-Ann as she works endlessly devoting herself to her work, achieving higher and higher as she completes each performance, receiving excellent feedback of enjoyment and praise. She is ready to share her music with the world! Do you want to hear it?
